Privacy Policy: RepJournal 360 — Offline Gym & Workout Tracker App

This Privacy Policy describes how Zsolt Csillag (“I”, “me”, “the developer”), the developer of the Android application RepJournal360 – Workout Log (the “App”), collects, uses, stores, and protects information from users of the App (“you”, “the user”).

1. Information I Collect

1.1 Account Information

To use RepJournal360 – Workout Log, you must create an account using one of the following methods:

  • Email and password — Your password is never stored in plain text. It is processed through a one-way cryptographic hash before being saved, meaning it cannot be read, retrieved, or reversed by me or anyone else, including in the event of a data breach.
  • Google Sign-In — If you choose to log in with your Google account, authentication is handled entirely by Google’s OAuth service. I never see or store your Google password.
  • Biometric login (fingerprint / face recognition) — This is an optional convenience feature processed entirely on your device through your phone’s built-in operating system security (e.g. Android BiometricPrompt). I do not collect, transmit, receive, or store any biometric data, fingerprint images, or facial recognition data on my servers.

1.2 Wellness and Fitness Data

Since RepJournal360 is a workout and nutrition tracking app, I collect data that you voluntarily enter, including:

  • Body weight entries and weight trend history
  • Workout sessions: exercises performed, muscle groups trained, sets, reps, weights lifted, drop sets, session duration, and workout names
  • Personal records (PRs)
  • Diet and nutrition data: logged meals, calories, protein, carbs, and fat
  • Barcode-scanned food product lookups
  • Calculator inputs used to generate calorie/macro targets: height, date of birth, gender, and activity level

This data is considered wellness/health-adjacent information and is treated with additional care. It is used solely to provide the App’s core functionality — tracking your progress, calculating nutrition targets, and displaying your workout/diet history back to you.

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

  • Basic app usage and synchronization data needed to keep your account data up to date across sessions
  • Device information necessary for app functionality (e.g. for delivering the correct app version)

2. How I Use Your Information

Your data is used only to:

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • Store and synchronize your workouts, weight, and diet history across your sessions
  • Calculate personalized calorie and macronutrient targets
  • Display progress trends, personal records, and workout summaries back to you
  • Allow you to voluntarily share workout summaries via Android’s native sharing menu (this is user-initiated; I do not automatically share your data with anyone)

I do not sell your personal or wellness data. I do not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

  • Google Sign-In: If you log in with Google, limited authentication data is exchanged with Google per their Privacy Policy.
  • Barcode/food lookup service: When you scan a barcode, the product code is sent to a food database service to retrieve nutrition information.
  • I do not share your workout, weight, or diet data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are hashed and cannot be reversed. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting me at menover40workouts@gmail.com. Upon request, your data will be permanently deleted within [X days].

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact me at menover40workouts@gmail.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

RepJournal360 – Workout Log is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

8. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
